[Kit Insight] Bandai RGM-79SP GM Sniper II (Straight Build)

Model Number: RGM-79SP
Designation: EFSF Mass Production Sniper-Type Mobile Suit

A masterpiece of the Universal Century (and Master Grade)!
The GM Sniper II is such a handsome mobile suit even just simply snapped out of the box. A little effort will definitely further accentuate the sharp visage of the mobile suit.

With a relatively straightforward construction that results in a sturdy frame that supports dynamic posing, the kit is however marred by loose finger parts that come off way too often, resulting in unneeded frustration.

The GM Sniper II easily achieves one of the most natural-looking kneeling poses for any Master Grade, befitting its sniper designation. The frame and armour parts work in unison to create a shooting stance that is so satisfying to look/ gawk at.

Along with the Franz EF-KAR98K 75mm Sniper Rifle, the GM Sniper II model kit also comes with the bullpup machine gun with three magazines, a shield, two beam sabers with beams. As a Master Grade, the kit scales kinda well with 1/6 weapon kits.

It's quite sad and honestly a waste of potential that the mobile suit didn't do much other than blow up in the animation series. I'd kill for a spin-off of the War in the Pocket series whereby a single GM Sniper II goes on a black ops hunting spree to remove Zeonic threats.
